CABA CLASSIC 2008

 

Check-in

 

  • Alpaca check-in will be available on Thursday ONLY, May 1, 2008 from 10 AM to 5 PM. Upon arrival at the EXPO Center, please leave your alpacas in your trailer or vehicle until you receive further direction.
  • After your alpacas have passed Vet check, they will be compliance/color checked inside Hall D. (See Halter Show requirements page for details)
  • Exhibitors will receive their registration packets and stall assignments at Check-in.
  • All fleeces must be checked in on Thursday May 1st with the Fleece Show Superintendent between 10 AM and 5 PM (See Fleece Show requirements page for details)
  • If you are entering the Fiber Arts and/or Photo Contest, or are donating items to the Silent Auction, you will be directed to the appropriate location.
  • Parking is located on the West side of the Exhibit Hall, with some overflow parking in the far East lot.

Confirmation & Cancellation Policy:  Confirmations of reservations will be sent out by e-mail as completed registration forms and fees are received. If you must cancel your reservation and entries, 75% of fees paid will be refunded if the cancellations are received by April 1, 2008. No fees will be refunded for cancellations received after April 1st.

All paperwork must be complete by April 15, 2008. Those entries with incomplete paperwork as of April 15th will be scratched, and no refunds will be given. Paperwork includes Entry Forms, ARI Certificates, Permission to Show, and Mandatory Disclosure Form.

  

Security:  Security guards will be on duty Thursday night, Friday night & Saturday night.

 

Alpaca Health Requirements:

 

  • All alpacas must have a 30-day Veterinary Certificate of Inspection filled out by your veterinarian dated April 5, 2008 or after.
  • All alpacas entered in or present at all AOBA Certified shows must be negative for BVDV by a PCR or VI lab test, and said negative results and testing methods shall be indicated on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) Health papers.
  • You must bring a copy of your CVI to be retained by the Show Superintendent, as they are required to keep a copy on file as part of the Show Record.
  • All alpacas, whether they are entered in the Halter show or not, require Health Certificates.
  • All alpacas must be registered with the Alpaca Registry Inc. (ARI), and be micro-chipped to identify each alpaca. Include the alpaca’s ARI name and microchip ID number on the CVI. Please have your Vet also indicate the location of the microchip in the animal on the certificate.
  • Animals will not be allowed into the exhibit hall until they are approved by our Veterinary staff. Any animal showing signs of an infectious or communicable disease will be sent home or quarantined. No alpacas can be housed in trailers in the parking lot.
  • Animals with diarrhea must be removed from the facility immediately.
  • Exhibitors from outside the state of Oregon are responsible for learning and meeting health requirements for interstate transport (Consult your Veterinarian).
  • Animal care: You must supply your own feed and feed/water containers. You are responsible for cleaning your own stalls- Please bring your own rake and shovel, and dispose of waste in appropriately marked containers.
