The alpaca shown must be from a dam that was owned by the exhibitor at the time the dam was bred as evidenced on the ARI registration of the yearling. Yearlings must be eligible and entered in their respective halter class. Exhibitors may enter up to 3 alpacas in this class.
  • Breeders Best Group of Three Class is comprised of groups of 3 alpacas that represent the highest quality production from the breeder’s herd. All 3 of the alpacas are evaluated simultaneously in the ring, and a collective judgment is made on the group, which is based on the individual excellence of each alpaca in the group. Each of the Breeder’s Best Three must be eligible and entered in the show in their respective halter class. Both genders and any age may be represented. The alpacas that comprise a group do not have to be related. All 3 alpacas must have been bred by and presently owned by the exhibitor as indicated on the registration certificate. Show entry is made in the name of the breeder as shown on the ARI registration form. Limit 1 entry (group of 3) per breeder.
  • Get of Sire Class is comprised of groups of 3 alpacas that are the progeny of the same sire. All 3 of these progeny are evaluated simultaneously in the ring and should represent their sire’s ability to transmit his positive traits to each progeny in a uniform and consistent manner. Alpacas in Get must be eligible and entered in the show in their respective halter class. Both genders can be represented, but must be from at least 3 different dams. Show entry is made in the name of the sire on the show entry form and must be accompanied by a copy of the sire’s ARI Registration Certificate. Limit 1 entry (group of 3) per sire. The sire is not shown. If the exhibitor is not the owner of the sire, that exhibitor must obtain the sire owner’s written permission prior to the time of show entry. Entry is limited to 3 sire entries per owner.
  • Produce of Dam Class is comprised of groups of 2 alpacas that are the progeny of the same dam. Both progeny are evaluated simultaneously in the ring and should represent their dam’s ability to transmit her positive traits to each progeny in a uniform and consistent manner. Alpacas in Produce must be eligible and entered in their respective classes. Both genders can be represented. Show entry is made in the name of the dam on the show entry form and must be accompanied by a copy of the dam’s ARI Registration Certificate. Limit 1 entry (group of 2) per dam. The dam is not shown.
